Technology in social studies

Let's face it, technology is everywhere around us. Today many schools have migrated and moved to some of the activities in the technical part so that students can access their lessons from everywhere. Some teachers write blogs, or social studies so that every student can read them. Some of them join in groups on FaceBook, MySpace etc. There are many, many ways for their social studies lessons for children are available remotely. Here I'll help you find ways to do this.
1. Join Blogspot so you can have a public blog. Every one of their students can read your posts and leave comments on them.
2. If you want a more sophisticated form of blogging, try to get your own hosting, domain and install WordPress. You can do almost anything with this tool, insert Add ons, change templates, and many, many more.
3. I discovered a very good web 2.0 called Ecto service. It really allows you to have 'virtual classroom' to groups of students. Here is how to describe him: Ecto is a host, open network Personal learning environment. Use Ecto to transform learning in an interactive, collaborative and focused student activity. Ecto is the only built from the ground up on the architecture of social software and learning management system managers.
I said only some of the services, in fact there are many opportunities beyond out allowing it to communicate with the students so that they can reach home.
So good luck with your social studies lessons!
I am Professor of social studies e.g., who dedicated his work writing articles for current teachers how to be more effective in teaching students in their social studies class.
